Pastor Mike Nicolaou is a graduate of Rhema Bible College, South Africa. He served in Rhema Bible Church as an elder for 15 years and, following the direction of the Holy Spirit, came to Cyprus, the country of his birth, in 1999. Together with his wife, Olga, he started a mid-week Bible study at their home. That was the birth of Petra Bible Fellowship. For the next ten years, Pastor Mike preached in various churches in Cyprus as a guest speaker, as well as continuing the weekly Bible study. In 2011 Pastor Mike and Olga, after prayer and the leading of the Spirit of God, moved from mid-week church to Sunday services, the official beginning of Petra Bible Fellowship.
God is the founder and builder of His church, and no man should get the glory.

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the infallible, all-sufficient guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine.
(1 Thess. 2:13, 2 Tim. 3:16, 2 Pet. 1:21)
We believe in one God who is manifested in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
(Matt. 28:19, 2 Cor. 13:14, Phil. 2:6)
We believe in the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ.
(Is. 7:14, Matt. 1:23)
We believe in salvation by the grace of God, through faith in Christ Jesus who died for our sin,
was buried and was raised from the dead on the third day, and through His shed blood we have redemption.
(Ro. 10:8-15, 1 Cor. 15:3-4, Tit. 2:11, 3:5-7)
We believe in the new birth through faith in Jesus Christ.
(John 3:3-5, 2 Cor. 7:10, 1 John 5:1, 12)
We believe that baptism in water is a direct commandment of our Lord Jesus for believers only.
This ordinance is a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ in his death, burial and resurrection.
(Matt. 28:19, Acts 10:47-48, Rom. 6:3-4)
We believe in the return of our Lord Jesus according to the Word of God.
(Matt. 26:24, Luke 21:27, Acts 1:10-11, Heb. 9:28)
We believe in the resurrection of the dead at the Day of Judgement.
(Matt. 25:31-46, 2 Cor. 5:10, Heb. 9:27, 2 Pet. 2:9)
THE DIVINE LOVE
It is so easy for imperfection to love perfection, for hatred to envy love, for weakness to admire strength and for sinners to yearn secretly for saintliness. Then Christianity, through the love of God, reverses the human order. You read for perfection, seeking fellowship with imperfect people to lead them into perfection. You discover that love is great enough to nullify all the forces of hatred that have held you in bondage for a long time.
We read in the Word of God in 1 John chapter 4:
“In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and He sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins”
The great miracle of the Christian life is not that we, with our imperfection, weakness, and sins love God, but that He loves us. The love God has for us, is indefinable in human terms, but it can be a wonderful experience when we open our mind, our heart and emotions to His gracious and powerful influence in our life.
To acknowledge the love of God and allow this thought to be the motivating power in our life is to link ourselves with the greatest Power in the universe, which is nothing and nobody else than the Almighty, Holy, and Powerful God, the God of Love. God’s love is not dormant or so mystical as to be impractical. It is alive and active, transforming and vitalising our life and allowing the Spirit of Christ to come and live in us and express Himself through us.
The Word of God tells us in the book of Romans 5:5
“Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us”
May the Grace of God and the love of Christ be with you all.
Love in Christ,
Pastor Mike Nicolaou
